Steps
Step 1 — Open Illustrations
Click Illustrations in the app sidebar.
Step 2 — Choose a creation path on Overview
Read the intro, then click Create Characters, Create Artifacts, or Create Scenes (or use the matching tab).
Step 3 — Select a Book on the tool page
Every generator needs a manuscript context. Choose your book from Select a Book / Select Book before prompting.
Step 4 — Set a book-wide art style (recommended)
Click the palette icon to open Image Settings. Describe a style, Generate Style or choose a style, optionally Add whitespace to images, then use that style for later generations.
Step 5 — Generate, name, and save assets
Describe the subject in the prompt field and submit (send icon). Save Character Name / Artifact Name (and other fields) with Save so assets are reusable in Scenes and the editor.
Step 6 — Compose scenes and review Gallery
On Scenes, select up to six assets and describe the tableau. Open Gallery to browse Characters, Artifacts, Scenes, and related types; use Download Image when needed.
Step 7 — Insert into your manuscript
In the editor, use Manage Images → Your Images and click a thumbnail to insert—or generate/upload from the editor menus (see insert help).
Tips
- Name characters/artifacts right after the first good generation so Scenes can pick them cleanly.
- Overview has no Gallery card—use the Gallery tab.
- Watch Image Credits in the sidebar.
- Consistency comes from saved profiles + Image Settings, not a separate “Consistency” button.
