User summary
Storyloft artifacts are illustrated props—rings, maps, weapons, heirlooms—that characters can hold or that scenes can feature consistently. Authors searching for Create Artifacts or book prop illustrations use /illustrations/artifacts to generate objects, save names and sizes, and pull them into Scenes alongside characters. Naming artifacts early keeps Your Assets usable when you compose multi-element pictures.
What it does
Artifacts mirrors the character workflow with object-focused fields:
- Empty state Create an artifact (example-driven subcopy about iconic objects)
- Sidebar Your Artifacts + Reset
- Prompt Describe your artifact…
- Profile: Artifact Name, optional height ft/in, Artifact Description
- Save / Delete Artifact
- Continue gate toast Artifacts Details — name required to continue
Steps
Step 1 — Open Artifacts and select a book
Illustrations → Artifacts or Overview → Create Artifacts. Pick Select a Book.
Step 2 — Set Image Settings (optional but recommended)
Palette → Image Settings → generate or choose a style so props match character art.
Step 3 — Describe and generate the artifact
Type materials, size cues, era, and magical/tech details into Describe your artifact…, then submit (send icon).
Step 4 — Name and describe the artifact
Enter Artifact Name (required to save/continue). Optionally set Height (ft) / Height (in) and Artifact Description. Click Save.
Step 5 — Create variants
Submit more prompts or Roll the dice! for alternate looks under the same artifact group.
Step 6 — Manage Your Artifacts
Review thumbnails, delete single images, or Delete Artifact to remove the whole object profile.
Step 7 — Use artifacts in Scenes and the editor
In Scenes, select the artifact among Your Assets (up to six total with characters). In the manuscript, insert via Manage Images → Artifacts tab.
Tips
- Describe silhouette and distinctive marks (gem color, runes, wear) for recognizability.
- Match style to characters before composing scenes.
- Credits apply per generation.
- Empty sidebar says Select a book to load images until a manuscript is chosen.
