What it does
On /cover-generator you get:
- Left chat — Select a Book, prompt field (Describe the book cover you want to create…), Upload Image, and AI generation (Generating your cover…)
- Gallery + canvas — thumbnails for existing covers; empty states No Covers Yet, Pick a Cover, or Select a Book
- Toolbar — Layout Mode (Ebook / Print), add text/assets, Export, Save Cover
- Print-only right sidebar — Cover Size dimension tools when in Print mode
Image generation may use Image Credits. Covers you save appear when exporting an ebook under Your Covers.
Steps
Step 1 — Open Covers
In the left app sidebar, click Covers. Confirm the page header shows Cover Creator.
Step 2 — Select a Book
In the left panel, open Select a Book / Select Book and choose the manuscript this cover belongs to. Until a book is selected, the canvas prompts Select a Book.
Step 3 — Generate or upload your first cover
In chat, describe the cover you want and submit, or click Upload Image. Wait through Generating your cover… when using AI. New covers appear in the left gallery strip.
Step 4 — Pick a cover from the gallery
Click a thumbnail to load it on the canvas. If covers exist but none is selected, follow Pick a Cover. Use the delete flow (Delete Cover) only when you intend to remove art permanently.
Step 5 — Choose Layout Mode: Ebook or Print
Open toolbar Layout Mode and select Ebook (front cover) or Print (back, spine, front wrap). Selecting a gallery item while in Print may switch you back to Ebook—re-select Print when you need the wrap. Print mode reveals Cover Size tools and Sync Cover.
Step 6 — Edit, export previews, and Save Cover
Add text and assets from the toolbar, use Export for downloads (PNG/PDF options vary by mode), and click Save Cover regularly. Success toast: Cover saved successfully.

- Sidebar says Covers; on-page branding says Cover Creator—same tool.
- Create the ebook cover first, then use Sync Cover in Print mode to push art to the front panel.
