Steps

Step 1 — Place the cursor

Click in the manuscript where the image should appear.

Step 2 — Upload a new file

Choose Upload Image. Drop or browse, wait for upload success, click Insert Image.

Step 3 — Or pick from Your Images

Choose Manage Images. In Your Images, pick a tab and click a thumbnail to insert. Use gallery hover Download image / Delete image to manage library files.

Step 4 — Optional: generate from text

Select descriptive text → bubble Generate an Image (needs a selection).

Step 5 — Set Image Style for AI consistency

Open Image Style → configure Image Settings (Style Description, Generate Style, choose a style, whitespace option).

Step 6 — Adjust an inserted image

Hover the image → Download Image to save locally, Manage Images to swap, or Remove Image to delete from the page.

Step 7 — Check layout in Page view

Switch View → Page to see how images affect estimated pages before export.

  • Max upload 10MB; invalid types show clear errors.
  • Deleting from Your Images is permanent—confirm Delete Image.
  • Prefer Illustrations Characters/Scenes for reusable cast art, then insert here.
