Generate Charts & Infographics in Storyloft

TL;DR

After uploading/editing a dataset, open Select Goal, pick a Visualization Goal (or Regenerate Goals), then Generate Visualization. Create the Chart first (2 image credits), switch to Infograph for a styled infographic (4 credits). Use Download or open the book gallery.

Storyloft turns prepared CSV data into a chart image and optional infographic for your manuscript gallery. Authors searching for Visualization Goal or Infograph generation complete wizard steps 4–5 after upload/edit. Charts cost 2 image credits; infographics cost 4—stock credits before you click generate.

What it does

  • Step Select Goal: AI goals with badge Visualization Goal; Regenerate Goals
  • Step Generate Visualization / card Image generation
  • Tabs Chart and Infograph (infograph disabled until chart exists)
  • Infograph Choose infographic style (e.g. Editorial Data Infograph + AI styles)
  • Download, Retry, credits dialogs on insufficient balance
  • Success: Visualization generated — saved to your images

Steps

Step 1 — Reach Select Goal

Finish Choose Book, Upload CSV, and Edit Table (Commit & continue).

Step 2 — Pick a visualization goal

Read the summary, choose a Visualization Goal card. If empty, wait or use Regenerate Goals.

Step 3 — Open Generate Visualization

Continue to Image generation. Confirm you’re on the Chart tab.

Step 4 — Generate the chart

Start chart generation and wait (Generating chart…). Ensure you have at least 2 image credits. On success, preview and optional Download.

Step 5 — Create an Infograph (optional)

Open the Infograph tab (requires a chart). Pick a style under Choose infographic style, generate (needs 4 image credits), and wait through progress messages.

Step 6 — Retry or buy credits if needed

If you see Not enough image credits, open Add Image Credits, purchase, then Retry. Charts need 2; infographics need 4.

Step 7 — Use the images in your book

Download PNGs, or insert later via editor Manage Images / Gallery Charts & Infographics tabs.

Tips

  • Always generate the chart before the infograph tab unlocks.
  • Generation can take a few minutes—leave the tab open.
  • If gallery save fails, Download may still work—retry save if offered.
  • Regenerate goals when your edited table changes meaning.
